Configuration in MikroTik RouterBoard for Vsol EPON OLT
Video Tutorial
Nota
Router with Internet access
Connection through Ethernet port.
Bridge Creation
We are going to create a bridge in order to assign an IP from the default management network of the OLT and also assign an IP for when we change the default network.
1 We go to the Bridge section in the menu of our RouterBoard to create the bridge1 interface and thus group the ports that will be working in the OLT network.
2 We assign the two ports that connect to the OLT to bridge1.
Vlan Creation for hosts
1 We go to the interface configurations and then to the Vlan section, where we will create a vlan named vlan400 with ID 400, which will be where the subnet for the hosts will be created.
IP Addressing
1 In IP Address, we assign the IP to each interface as shown in the following images, based on the topology shown at the beginning of the manual.
2 IP Addressing for the default management network. This is the network that comes in new or factory-reset Vsol OLTs. This IP will only be used to connect to the equipment for the first time, as later in the OLT configuration we will change it to our management network.
3 IP Addressing for the management network. This will be the IP we will use to work with our new management network.
4 LAN IP Addressing for Vsol OLT. This address will be the LAN Gateway for the LAN network for the Hosts (ONUs) of Vlan110, which will serve to assign addressing statically, by DHCP, or by a PPPoE server.
